What to expect:

I will take a case history so I can get a comprehensive picture of your health and tailor make the treatment for you. As well as helping your particular ailments in the long-term, you will often experience feelings of relaxation during the treatment.

These are some of the treatments I offer...

REFLEXOLOGY

Reflexology is a natural therapy using pressure massage on the reflex points of the feet to bring about healthy changes in the corresponding organs or systems. It is helpful for releasing stress , and relieving conditions such as arthritis, migraine, insomnia and PMT. It is also popular during pregnancyas it aims to optimise the physical and emotional health of the pregnant woman. Reflexology can be used throughout pregnancy; the reflexologist will take a full history to ensure that it is safe and appropriate to carry out the treatment. There is anecdotal evidence from women who feel they have benefited from reflexology from preconception to post natal. Two recent studies have shown that reflexology in pregnancy significantly reduced pain during labour, reduced the length of the first stage of labour and improved quality of sleep in postnatal women.

Preparation for Labour: As your due date approaches, you may find it useful to visit a reflexologist more frequently. Although there is no evidence that reflexology can induce labour, the general view is that it will help support the body to prepare for labour and promote relaxation at a time when anxiety levels are often high.

I am a member of the AoR and have attained the MAR (full) status. I have met the strictest standards of reflexology practice and am committed to continually developing my skills and knowledge, together with agreeing to abide by the association's code of practice and ethics.

I would suggest that you email me for an initial chat so I can answer any questions you may have. The most important thing is that you feel comfortable with your therapist.

Sports Massage

Sports massage is tailored for athletes and anyone who does sport or who has an injury. To prevent further injury, relax the muscles, tendons and ligaments.

Deep Tissue massage

Deep tissue massage aims to release the chronic patterns of tension in the body through slow strokes and deep finger pressure on the contracted areas, either following or going across the fibres of the muscle, tendon and fascia. It helps loosen muscle, release toxins and get blood and oxygen circulating in the body and can also be for people who like firm massages.

Indian Head Massage

Rooted in the ancient Indian healing system of Ayuveda, it works on the belief that ailments are caused by blockages in the energy flow around the body. The massage helps clear the blockages, returning the body to a state of health. Including head, neck, upper back and shoulders massage, it is used to rebalance the body's vital energy.

Facial Rejuvenation

Facial Rejuvenation is a combination of Indian face massage and other healing techniques, including acupressure, to give a natural facelift alternative. It also reduces the signs of ageing.
